The following projects were identified as priorities during the creation of the Facilities Master Plan creation:

  • Jefferson: replace portables with site built 2-story classroom; increase multi-use size or replace with new; reconfigure vehicular circulation and parking.
  • Washington: full size multi-use/gymnasium with bleacher seating; stage at multi-use/gymnasium; locker rooms at multi-use/gymnasium; full size kitchen.
  • CHS: wifi at every classroom, student safe access points; add weight room modular; replace maintenance building with new maintenance building.

March 11, 2019 Measure H Committee Meeting Powerpoint presentation-Community Stakeholder Prioritization Presentation was provided to the Measure H Committee to explain the process for stakeholder engagement and to detail the priorities for each site based on those site-based stakeholder engagement meetings. The Measure H Committee then prioritized the projects that they would like to see completed with bond funds.

June 10, 2019 CHS Stadium Committee Meeting Minutes On June 10, 2019, Cloverdale School District held a CHS Stadium Committee Meeting regarding the CHS Stadium Field Project. The Architect, CM Project Managers, District/School Staff and Board Members discussed site needs, costs, deferred maintenance, alternatives and requirements for the upgrades to the existing field.

June 19, 2019 CHS Stadium Committee Meeting Presentation- CHS Athletics Field On June 19, 2019, Cloverdale School District held a CHS Stadium Committee Meeting regarding the CHS Stadium Field Project. The Architect, CM Project Manager, District/School Staff and Board Members discussed cost comparisons. Decisions were made to design a 7-lane track and a synthetic field.

July 10, 2019 Cloverdale School District and City of Cloverdale Meeting Minutes On July 10, 2019, Cloverdale School District met with the City of Cloverdale to discuss coordination regarding the Washington Street realignment, Skate Park, Wellness Center, and New Washington School Gym placement. Further discussion between the City, CUSD, and Wellness architect will be scheduled to create mutually agreeable solutions to competing needs regarding location of gym, drainage, skateboard park and bio-retention locations.
August 20, 2019 Washington School Subcommittee Meeting Minutes

On August 20, 2019 a meeting was held with the Washington School Subcommittee to review the Schematic Design for the new gymnasium being planned for the site. The architect and construction manager reviewed the design for the new gymnasium and the proposed site plan.  The committee requested that the building be larger if possible to accommodate 2 middle school basketball courts and additional storage.  Fire access to the new facility was also discussed and the design team agreed to make adjustments and meet with the fire marshal.

August 26, 2019 Jefferson Elementary School Subcommittee Meeting Minutes On August 26, 2019 a meeting was held with the Jefferson School Subcommittee to review the Schematic Design for the new classroom building being planned for the site. The architect and construction manager reviewed the design for the new 2-story 12 classroom building and the proposed site plan. Discussions were held regarding additional design features to be incorporated into the building including built in storage and pinnable wall surfaces. Additional items such as material selections and colors will be reviewed with the site subcommittee as design progresses. The subcommittee recommended that the design be presented to the Measure H Committee for approval.

 September 23, 2019  Washington School Subcommittee Meeting Minutes On September 23, 2019 a meeting was held with the Washington School Subcommittee to review the revised Schematic Design for the new gymnasium being planned for the site. The architect and construction manager reviewed the design for a larger building that would accommodate 2 regulation sized middle school basketball courts and increased storage capacity. The architect also reviewed the planned fire access and landscaping.  Additional features will be reviewed with the site subcommittee as design progresses. The subcommittee recommended that the design be presented to the Measure H Committee for approval.

 September 26, 2019 Measure H Committee Meeting Minutes On September 26, 2019 a meeting was held with the Measure H Committee
to review the current designs for the CHS Stadium, the Washington School Gym, and the Jefferson Elementary School Classroom Building. The Committee recommended that the designs be approved and presented to the School District Board for approval. The CHS Stadium design includes a new 7 lane synthetic track, a synthetic turf athletic field and improved site drainage.  The Washington School gymnasium will include a full size basketball court and 2 middle school sized basketball courts, new locker rooms and additional storage.  The Jefferson Elementary School classroom building will include a 2 story building with 12 classrooms, new playground equipment and landscaping.

November 6, 2019  Jefferson Elementary School Subcommittee Meeting Minutes On November 6, 2019 a meeting was held with the Jefferson School Subcommittee to review the updated design drawings. The architect reviewed the concerns raised at the previous meeting, including those related to the site layout, stairwell design and interior classroom features. The committee directed the architect to proceed with landscape and play structure layout shown in option 1 with some modifications to improve sight lines for supervision. The committee also approved a revised open stairwell design. Finally, the committee provided feedback on interior classroom design requesting additional built-in storage where possible. Additional items such as material and color selection will be reviewed with the site committee as design progresses.

Subcommittee Meeting

Minutes On December 12, 2019 a meeting was held with the Jefferson Measure H Subcommittee to review the play structure design and components.  The committee approved the current design of the play structure (Option 1) and its components.  The committee requested the addition of shade and chose a design for the swings.  There will be opportunities for further refinement of the colors prior to final procurement of components.  The committee also expressed a preference for a poured in place rubberized play surface.

Cloverdale High School Subcommittee Meeting

Minutes On December 17, 2019 a meeting was held with the CHS Measure H Subcommittee to review the current layout of field events and the scope of the project prior to DSA submittal.  The committee reviewed the design and colors for the synthetic track and field and discussed materials for the area surrounding the track.  The committee reviewed the placement of track and field events.  The architect will submit two applications for DSA review before the end of the year.

January 8, 2020 Measure H Committee Minutes On January 8, 2020 a meeting was held with the Measure H Committee to review the current status of Measure H projects and priorities previously identified by the committee. There may be funds for additional projects and the committee reviewed conceptual designs for the Washington School MPR Modernization, the High School West Gym Renovations and the High School Solar Parking Canopies.  The committee discussed elements of the design and referred the final decisions about priorities back to site committees.  The architect and construction manager will meet with site committees to confirm priorities and determine next steps.
